Baseball Camps: Options in Hawaii
There are university baseball camps and clinics hosted by the different University of Hawaii campuses. Each campus program has its own schedule and offerings, so check with the universities individually to find out more about what types of experiences and courses the school will offer. University of Hawaii at Manoa, for example, offers four different two day clinics as well as a four day general skills camp where the Hilo campus offers a single, four day event that runs three hours a day.
Baseball Camps Outside of Hawaii
Many serious high school athletes travel out of state, or even out of country, to attend baseball camps hosted by famous organizations or schools. America’s Baseball Camps, Nike Camps, and DeMarini Top 96 are three of the most famous national baseball camp organizations and they all offer camps in states around the country, though not in every state. If you live in a state that doesn’t host one of these events, like Hawaii, then you might want to consider traveling this summer to one of these camp opportunities. You’ll find plenty of options for both of these organizations in California and other western states.
Some campers choose to travel to camps in other countries. There are baseball camps in Mexico, Canada, Europe, and all over the world. Traveling to a camp in another country, while certainly more complicated than attending a local or out-of-state camp, brings with it other rewards, such as the experience of traveling and living in another country for a week or more. A lot of international camps offer other forms of education, as well, in the form of language and culture classes, as well as field trips to famous sports locations. It can be a great opportunity for campers who can afford the airfare and tuition.
