Team Basketball Camps a Good Choice for Montana Schools

When most people think of basketball camps, they probably think of opportunities for individual players to learn new skills and play with players from around the state. Individual camps are a great chance for players to improve their skills and gain valuable experience, but they aren’t the only option for high school and middle school age players. If you coach a team, or are part of a varsity or junior varsity team, you may want to consider a team camp experience.

Team camps are a way for the entire team to learn, practice, compete, and bond over a few days in an intense, basketball-focused environment. Team camps offer instruction, but focus mainly on competition, with teams from different schools competing in games against each other. This is a great way to get your team some valuable experience, playing against teams you may not get a chance to play against during the regular season.

Team Basketball Camps at the University of Montana

The University of Montana hosts team camps for male and female basketball teams. These camps have players stay at the dorms overnight, giving them a chance to bond and learn more about each other, while also teaching them new skills. Camp costs are based on the number of players attending, with each team getting one complementary coach’s spot. Teams can also choose to commute to the camp, and pay a smaller fee per player. There is also a coaches clinic for high school coaches, to give them valuable insight and instruction in teaching the game.
