Large Football Camps in Kentucky Offer Recruiting Opportunities

National and regional football camps often offer their campers the best recruitment opportunities available. While some universities will host prospect camps to evaluate players who want to attend their school, if a player is looking for exposure to multiple college recruiters, one of the national camps is probably their best bet. These two large camps have several locations and focus on recruiting as well as instruction.

Offense-Defense has been hosting football camps for young men all over the country for over forty years. The camp focuses on fundamentals and training, using a full-contact camp environment to teach offensive and defensive players how to be their best. The camp also believes in teaching life skills, in addition to football skills, and campers will come away with more appreciation for discipline and teamwork. One of the major highlights of going to an O-D camp is the ability to meet and work with NFL players. Another is the O-D All-American bowl where top players from O-D camps across the nation get to compete in an end-of-year game, free of charge.

Bishop Dullaghan camps maintain a camper to coach ratio of 10 to 1 or better and have camps designed for general skills and position players. Their Down and Dirty Lineman camp is a popular choice for offensive and defensive linemen. This three day camp experience gives players quality instruction and exposure to interested college coaches. Bishop Dullaghan also hosts camps in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Florida.

Other Football Camps in Kentucky

This does not mean that these camps are the only option, or even the best option, for every player. If you are too young to be actively looking at college admissions, or have already chosen a school, then recruiting may not be at the top of your priority list. In that case, look for a camp that is going to offer the instruction you want. This doesn’t rule out national camps, of course, as they still offer quality instruction. It just broadens your options to include non-recruitment focused camps, as well.
