No. 1 Soccer Camps
Since 1977, No. 1 Soccer Camps have been providing young people with the training in all aspects of the game of soccer. What started as a goalkeepers training camp has now developed to include training in all areas of soccer including dribbling and passing, and of course goalkeeping. They teach their campers the importance of teamwork on the field and in practices and about the speed, agility and endurance that is necessary to become one of the leaders in the soccer field.
The staff and coaches at this youth soccer camp all come from backgrounds in soccer and have real advice and training to provide to the campers. Many of the coaches have played for a varsity college soccer team at one of the many NCAA or NAIA institutions or have personally graduated from the soccer camp and have the ability to lead and direct the young people that are attending.
This youth soccer camp provides a great mix and interaction between the goal keepers and the players on the field. They accept and train both boys and girls. They have developed a great balance between the different areas of the game.
Each camper is evaluated and assigned to a smaller group of campers that are at a comparable skill level so that the training can be complete for each level. It is great for beginners all the way to the most experienced players that are working towards making a break into the professional realms of soccer or are just really interested in learning the sport.
As the campers excel they can be moved into groups that are also working on their personal level. The No. 1 Soccer Camps encourage and frequently recognize the growth that comes with hard work and experience on the field. Playing up is encouraged as all campers are encouraged to reach their highest possible potential in the time that they are at the camp.
Over the thirty years that No. 1 Soccer Camps have been in operation, the camp has received many forms of praises from the public for the efforts and training abilities for the youth of the United States. This includes receiving praises from Sports Illustrated for Kids in 1996 and Sports Illustrated for Women in 2002. They have quickly become known for their excellence in the field of soccer camps and boast many professional soccer players as alumni to their camps.
Each of the five different programs that are offered to the campers provide skills training as well as encourage creativity and expression in their players by allowing them to stretch their physical capabilities and experience and practice newly found skills.
The camp offers the “Mini” Camp, the Academy Program, the Premier Program and the Team Camp program. The Team Camp is designed to work with an entire or partial soccer team to build their confidence as a team and help expose the strengths of each player on the team and arrange the lineup for the team.
