Local Los Angeles swimming camps like the UCLA Swim Camps are run by Head Coach Cyndi Gallagher a former Olympian with 24 years experience coaching at UCLA. The UCLA Swim Camps are day camps and local Los Angeles residents can drop their kids off at the camp in the morning and then pick them up in the afternoon.

Salo Swim Camps held at USC and run by Head Coach David Salo a 2 time Olympic Coach.  These coaches have years of experiencing in coaching and motivating young swimmers. They know all the latest drills to help swimmers reach their potential in the pool.  The Salo Swim Camps at USC are overnight camps and the swimmers will be able to experience life on a college campus while they attend camp, living in a dorm room and eating in the campus cafeteria.

Both camps offer individual and team instruction and will have a number of professional coaches on hand to give your child the attention and instruction that they need.  The swim camps will have coaches that specialize in instructing swimmers in freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and the breaststroke. Focused coaching that will help your child improve their techniques and advance their skill levels.

Swimmers will spend a lot of time in the pool each day learning the fundamentals and competing against fellow campers. During the school year swimmers only get a few hours of coaching and practice a day, but at swim camps they can get in 6-8 hours a day of practice and competition.

If your child in thinking of attending college at either University then sending them to a swim camp at the University of their choosing is a great way to get them noticed and improve their chances of receiving a scholarship offer.
