Baseball camp will give you additional training from a college-level coach. This kind of training will most likely be better than what you receive during regular practice at school. This isn’t because your coach isn’t as good. During the school year, however, your coach has to worry about teaching and working with the entire team every day, and won’t have time to work with each player individually to work on drills and techniques that are only relevant to his position. The other reason to attend a baseball camp is exposure. Some players are scouted during the regular season by college and pro scouts, but there isn’t any way that the scout from the organization you want to play for is going to be able to see every high school athlete in the country play.
