Baseball Camps in the District of Columbia
There are national, local, and university camps all over the country this year that will offer quality baseball instruction to kids and high school athletes. Not every city hosts camps of every type every year, but in general, you’ll find a selection of options in most states. Baseball players of all ages will have a camp opportunity this year in DC, in addition to the camps found outside of the city in the surrounding states.
Headfirst is a local baseball camp for younger kids (up to age fourteen) that focuses on building strong leadership, self-confidence, and teamwork skills through baseball instruction. They run camps during summer, winter, and spring break as well as seasonal sports clinics. Headfirst offers other, support-related services for athletes as well, like their College Advising Program. This program has been around for almost 15 years and serves kids in the DC area.
DC area students will also have the opportunity to attend a DeMarini Top 96 camp at Catholic University. This camp is designed for baseball players who wish to attend colleges with stricter entrance requirements: the Academic College Coaches Clinic. All DeMarini Top 96 programs are two day clinics where day one is spent learning new skills and practicing and day two is spent playing games. Players are evaluated by college coaches and get to go over those reviews with the coaches while they are at camp. You can see a list of the coaches scheduled to be at the DC clinic this year on their information page on this website.
Baseball Camps Outside of the District of Columbia
There will be baseball camps in Virginia, Maryland, and other states just outside of DC, as well. You can see a list of camps by state at SportsCampConnections.com to find these other options. You’ll want to use the zip code search to find events in DC itself.
