Point Guard College offers four courses. These courses are designed to work together and the material from one is used as the building blocks of another. This doesn’t mean that you have to attend the courses in a particular order, only that you will see, as you take each course, how they fit together to create a unified instruction theory.
Point Guard College Prep School is for younger or newer players, grades seven to ten. Prep School is a general skills camp and focuses on building a strong foundation for future study. It includes drills that increase your speed, agility, balance, and coordination. Prep School also focuses on the mental aspects of the game, including how to stay cool under pressure and how to maintain your love of the game.
Think the Game and the Essentials courses are for high school athletes. These courses work on the mental aspects of the game, like how to make quick decisions, how to choose better shots, and how to be a good team leader, both on and off the court. The essentials of basic basketball athleticism are also covered, as are techniques for strong defense. These courses are where most serious high school athletes should focus. If you can take both, even better.
College Session is for college basketball players. Yes, even college basketball players continue to attend camps to improve their skills. College Session draws on material from the Think the Game, Essentials, and Advanced Concepts courses.
