Exposure Basketball Camps Help Place High School Athletes
Serious high school athletes who want to play college ball on a scholarship should consider attending an exposure camp in the summer of their junior or senior year. There are several national organizations that host popular and effective exposure basketball camps. Here are a few.
Three Nationally Recognized Exposure Basketball Camps
Hoop Group, hosted by Albright College in Pennsylvania, has an impressive record of placing dedicated high school athletes with good colleges. They’ll host eight camps this summer, including Elite camps for serious high school athletes, Academic Elite camps for players who also qualify for top-tier academic programs, an invitation-only Junior Elite camp for exceptional players grade six through nine, and Elite Team camp where top-rated high school teams compete against each other in two divisions. At Hoop Group Elite camps, players engage in instruction and competition, all while being watched and evaluated by hundreds of college coaches and scouts.
Now in its 31st year, Blue-Chip Basketball camp is slightly different than other exposure camps. In addition to being seen while at the camp, by the college coaches and others, each camper’s evaluation and pertinent information is sent to all the college coaches in the country. This gives campers an incredible amount of exposure from a single camp session. Sessions last one week, are overnight, meals are included, and facilities are both indoor and outdoor. Blue-Chip camp is located in Kentucky.
Hoop Mountain, recently rated number one in combined instruction, competition, and exposure by several scouting services, offers exposure nights in the spring and fall, as well as summer exposure camps. Hoop Mountain attendees will also have their information sent to college head and assistant coaches in Divisions One, Two, and Three. Hoop Mountain hosts camps across the country. The National Exposure Basketball camp and Recruiting Showcase are held at Family First in Eerie, Pennsylvania.
