Football Camps in Oklahoma at Oklahoma University
Oklahoma University has had an incredible decade, with an impressive list of accomplishments, making them one of the best known college teams in the country. The school offers several summer football camps to expose youth and high school football players to the program and help them become better football players.
For high school athletes, sessions two and three and the kicking camp will be the camps for you. The two sessions camps are three day, overnight camps with campers housed in the dorms at the school and meals are provided. Campers can also choose to be day campers. Day campers receive the same instruction, but return home after each day’s session ends. Campers can choose which position they would like to focus on, with a number of offensive and defensive positions available to choose from. The camps are taught by the school’s coaching staff, with support from other college and high school coaches. There will be seven practice sessions held over the three days, with breaks for meals and rest.
The kicking camp is a one day affair, taught by the school’s former kicker. This camp is limited to thirty campers and includes two practice sessions and a film study session. This is a good chance for kickers to get some focused instruction from a qualified instructor to help them improve their skills.
Other Football Camps for Oklahoma Athletes
There are other football camp options for serious high school athletes. If recruitment is one of your priorities for selecting a football camp, look for national camps like Offense-Defense, Contact Football, and Sports International camps. These camps are held all over the country every year. You may have to search outside of your state to find one, but these camps usually have transportation options set up to help out-of-state campers get to and from camp.
