When researching football camps, you should look at several things about the camp before deciding where to go this summer. If the camp has a list of alumni and where they ended up playing, search for one or two names on that list to see if they did end up where the camp says they did.

The longer the camp has been around, the more likely it is that they offer instruction and opportunities that high school athletes will find helpful. A recruiting camp with a poor track record of placing athletes won’t stay around very long. Take a look at the list of alumni on their site, as well, and see if any of the athletes ended up at schools or organizations that you would want to attend. If so, there is a good chance that the right people will see you perform at this camp.
You’ll also want to consider what the camp offers and how that coincides with what you are looking for. If you are looking for a recruiting camp, make sure the camps you are looking at will have college or pro scouts in attendance. If you are looking for specialized instruction, look for Western Illinois football camp or camps near your location, designed specifically for your position. If you are looking for a broader approach to instruction and training, look for a general skills camp.
