If you can’t find a camp that you can commute to every day, consider attending an overnight camp in another state or country. This will allow you to be an extended day or day camper at the camp, instead of a boarder.

This can be a great way to learn about another country while getting intense instruction in your sport and can look very impressive on a college resume.
Very serious athletes might want to consider boarding schools that focus on sports instruction in addition to regular schooling. There are camps that are year long or half year programs that include serious athletic training and private boarding school for an academic and athletic education. You’ll find camps like these across the US and in other countries.
