Find Winter Baseball Camps
You won’t have as many options in winter as you would in summer, but there are still baseball camp opportunities in December, January, and February for high school athletes that want to practice year round.
Options for Winter Baseball Camps
Unsurprisingly, most national baseball camps in pennsylvania for colleges held in the winter will be in states with famously warm climates. You’ll find several options in places like Arizona, California, and Florida, with a few scattered camps in the south.
If you live in these states, you should be fine. There are a few national camps with winter sessions held at universities with indoor facilities. Check the information page for the camps to see if they offer winter sessions in other states.
If you don’t live in one of the sunny states, and don’t want to travel out-of-state to attend camp, you’ll have more luck with university camps. Notre Dame, West Illinois, Rutgers, and other universities have winter session options this year.
Keep in mind that universities may not offer the same programs in the winter as they do in the summer. The coaches may be different, as well as the length of the camp, or the type. Make sure you’re looking at the winter camp options when making your decision.
Some programs, like IMG Academies offer year round instruction for serious athletes. These programs are available all year, so you don’t have to plan your schedule around camp; you can go to camp when it works best for you, whether that’s a week in the fall, summer, spring, or winter.
These programs may have other additional options to choose from, to more fully customize your experience. This can include designing a program that lasts for several weeks, adding additional classes to your core program, or setting up private instruction in addition to your core instruction.
